Fault-Tolerant Compilation

Logical patches and routing lanes connected to a resource-state factory

Overview

Fault-tolerant quantum programs require compilers that account for logical qubits, communication, and auxiliary resource states.

We study how compilation coordinates these resources under hardware constraints. Our work covers modular chips, lattice-surgery layouts, and dynamic execution.

Approach

  1. Chipmunq partitions, maps, and routes fault-tolerant circuits across connected quantum chiplets.
  2. Harvest coordinates circuit placement, routing, and magic-state generation under a shared resource model.
  3. RushHour reconfigures lattice layouts during execution through its compiler, instruction set, and lattice controller.
